Publisher Infini Fun released Fantasy Idle Expedition, developed by One Interactive Studio, on Steam on October 9. This desktop idle RPG features squads battling automatically at the bottom of your computer screen, with players primarily responsible for recruiting members, developing characters, and adjusting team compositions.
Players can form teams of up to four members and deploy them to stages. Combat proceeds automatically, and defeating enemies yields experience, materials, and equipment. Upon meeting certain conditions, players can challenge bosses and unlock new stages.
Characters can grow and change classes along different paths, with a total of 91 job classes available. Even within the same class, members may have different growth rates and initial passive skills. The game also features over 200 types of equipment, obtainable as stage drops or crafted at the blacksmith; equipment with the same name may have different attributes, and additional effects can be adjusted through enchanting. In addition, there are more than 60 types of class-specific legendary equipment.
After progressing to a certain point, players can dispatch up to three teams simultaneously to gather resources across multiple stages, then rearrange jobs and equipment based on their haul. The game features pixel art in a Japanese RPG style, offers a demo version at launch, and includes limited-time events that reward characters, equipment, and other items based on cumulative idle time. The launch price is 920 yen, a 20% discount off the regular price of 1,150 yen, valid for two weeks after release.
