On October 7, Sony announced that its gaming equipment brand, INZONE, will launch two headphones in Japan on October 22: the over-ear INZONE H9 II Fnatic Edition and the wired in-ear INZONE E9 Glass Purple. The former is a collaboration with the esports team Fnatic, while the latter is a new color variant of the E9.
The INZONE H9 II Fnatic Edition incorporates orange accents on the earcup shells and microphone foam, with the Fnatic logo printed on the side of the shell and the headband. Its base model, the INZONE H9 II, uses the same speaker drivers as the Sony WH-1000XM6 and is optimized for first-person shooter games. It supports low-latency wireless, Bluetooth, and wired connections, offering sound presets for games like VALORANT and Apex Legends. The estimated manufacturer's suggested retail price (including tax) for the collaborative edition in Japan is approximately 39,600 yen.
The INZONE E9 Glass Purple, launched concurrently, features an ear-hook design and has an estimated manufacturer's suggested retail price (including tax) of approximately 17,600 yen in Japan. The audio tuning for the E9 involved input from Fnatic players, emphasizing footsteps, gunshots, and voice chat.
In terms of connectivity, the E9 headset itself uses a 3.5mm analog jack, and the package includes an additional USB audio device equipped with a USB Type-C interface.
