Following the release of the "Frozen Path" update for Arc Raiders, the game's concurrent player count on Steam surpassed 130,000, marking the first time it has reached this level since April.
"Frozen Path" adds explorable ice fields, several new enemy types, and a grappling hook. Players can also use new outposts to store items brought back from the surface. This is one of the game's larger content expansions in some time; while it still maintained a steady player base, some players had temporarily left.
Compared to the same period last month, the game's concurrent player count on Steam has roughly tripled. However, the game also offered a free trial this weekend, allowing players who haven't purchased it to try it out. The free trial may have contributed to the resurgence in player numbers, but there are currently no statistics breaking down how many players came from the update versus the trial.
