Battlefield Studios has revealed the Season 5 roadmap for Battlefield 6. The season kicks off on October 13, 2026, rolling out three new maps across three phases, and plans to add a server browser and a limited-time PvE mode themed around Dead Space.
Three new maps themed around Las Vegas and Nevada. The first phase will introduce Vegas Strip and Area 51, with European Casino joining in the second phase starting November 10. Previous seasons typically offered two new maps, but this season increases it to three; it remains unclear whether this number will continue in future seasons.
Phase 3 will adjust the existing maps New Sobek City and Blackwell Fields, and launch Operation High Roller, spanning Vegas Strip and Area 51. The season also plans to add five firearms, one melee weapon, one gadget, and one land and one air vehicle each. The server browser is expected to launch with Phase 3 in December, allowing players to create persistent servers and adjust rules such as map rotation. Previously, the game's browser only supported Portal mode.
The Dead Space themed event is scheduled from October 20 to November 7, offering cosmetics, weapons, and limited-time PvE gameplay. The producer clarified that the event content is not canonical; players will search for Markers in thematically modified areas of existing maps, attempting to stop the Convergence Event.
Season content also includes the Platoon social system supporting up to 100 players, winter-themed events, and the Rapid Royale mode in Battlefield REDSEC, which features fewer players and matches averaging about 12 to 15 minutes. Additionally, Battlefield 6 will join Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on October 13.
