New clues have emerged about the untitled new project from Bokeh Game Studio, the developer behind Slitterhead. Casting call materials obtained by MP1st show that the project is seeking actors for multiple characters, involving full-body, facial, and voice performance capture. MP1st describes it as a horror game.
The listed characters include River, a tense young man on the fringes of society; his friend Dean; and a mysterious young woman named Lyra, along with other characters of varying ages and backgrounds. Content warnings for multiple characters mention mature themes such as psychological horror, violence, drug use or trafficking, sex work, trauma, and biological transformation.
These descriptions reflect casting requirements for the performance capture phase and are insufficient to determine the final plot or character settings. MP1st speculates that River may be the protagonist and that certain characters might undergo biological transformations and attack him; neither point has been confirmed. Character names, backgrounds, and other settings may also change during development.
Bokeh Game Studio was founded by Keiichiro Toyama in 2020 and previously released Slitterhead. Currently disclosed materials are still casting calls for a new project; the studio has not yet announced the game's title, an official trailer, or a release date.
