Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III will grant early access to the DMZ mode for digital pre-order customers starting October 20. This is an additional pre-launch playable content following the Campaign Early Access. The game is scheduled for official release on October 23.
This Early Access covers pre-order customers of the Digital Standard Edition and Vault Edition; players who purchase physical copies will need to wait for the official release. The two content types have different availability windows: Campaign Early Access begins on October 16, while DMZ opens on October 20.
Players have previously experienced multiplayer modes and a segment of the campaign during testing, but have not yet had the chance to play the returning DMZ mode. This mode features both player-versus-player and player-versus-environment combat, and includes missions, narrative threads, rewards, progression systems, and exclusive mastery camos.
DMZ's extraction gameplay also involves loadout management. Players need to reacquire gear after losing weapons, making resource planning a potential consideration during play.
