Many players have shared screenshots and comparison videos on social media, showcasing the visual changes after the update. This patch introduces extensive optimizations to global illumination, ambient occlusion, material details, water effects, and vegetation rendering. Improvements are particularly notable in character skin textures, building surfaces, and outdoor foliage, while lighting appears more realistic and natural in indoor environments, during dusk, and on rainy nights.

Some players noted that previous versions still contained many rough, legacy assets from earlier eras. This update has significantly improved numerous outdated textures. Rain and water reflection effects have seen marked improvements, with more refined surface reflections and wave details. Even veteran players with hundreds of hours under their belt will find a renewed sense of freshness upon returning to the game, as the atmosphere in many scenes feels completely revitalized.

Mixed reactions have emerged within the community. Some PC users reported that the graphical upgrades come with increased performance costs, requiring high-end systems to maintain stable frame rates with all settings maxed out; on mid-to-low-end configurations, enabling the new lighting effects causes a noticeable drop in frame rates. Console platforms also experience fluctuations, with reduced frame rate stability in certain scenes.

The player community has largely praised the visual improvements brought by this patch, but also hopes that CDPR will continue optimizing performance in future updates, balancing enhanced graphics with smooth gameplay across various hardware configurations.
