Ubisoft recently announced that Rainbow Six Mobile will cease operations on January 15, 2027. Players can still log in and play normally until the shutdown, and the new season scheduled to start next week will launch as planned. This iOS and Android spin-off of Rainbow Six Siege went global in February 2026, less than a year before the shutdown announcement.
Rainbow Six Mobile entered closed beta in September 2022, held a second closed beta in select regions in June 2023, and began a phased rollout in certain areas that August before finally launching globally in February 2026.
Ubisoft Montreal stated that the final season's content will still be released as scheduled, after which the team will shift focus to other long-term projects. Since its soft launch in 2023, players have participated in 15 seasons. According to the official FAQ, further details regarding the shutdown process and refunds for in-game purchases will be announced separately.
