A scene featuring Jason showering appeared in the GTA VI demo, sparking rumors that he would appear fully nude from the front in the game. IGN journalist Rachel Weber, who watched the demo, clarified that she did not see the alleged full-frontal nudity: although Jason was unclothed, the camera angle obscured his private parts.
The discussion originated from an interview published by IGN. Development lead and co-studio head Rob Nelson played approximately 30 minutes of the game demo; the interview mentioned that when switching to Jason's perspective, he was taking a shower. Weber later wrote an article explaining what she actually saw in the footage.
Weber stated that since private parts were not shown on camera, it cannot be determined whether corresponding models were created within the game. She only saw the demo version and cannot confirm what content will be included in the final release. Although existing game rating information indicates the presence of sexual content, this still does not prove the existence of full-frontal nudity scenes.
She also joked that GTA VI is so hyped right now that even details about character nudity have become major gaming news. The topic sparked a wave of memes and comments from players online; some complained that just the phrase "character taking a shower" led many to imagine running around naked, while others jokingly threatened to cancel their pre-orders if they didn't get to see such scenes.
GTA VI is set to release on November 19, 2026, launching on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. It remains to be confirmed whether the related scenes will appear in the final version.
