Another Angle Games has announced that the release date for Shadow Path has been postponed from November 12, 2026, to March 10, 2027. The development team stated that they still need to address remaining issues and continue polishing the combat and party progression systems.
Shadow Path is a tactical role-playing game set in Japan during the Boshin War, blending magic with steampunk mechanics. Players will assemble a party to face yokai and steampunk-style mechanical enemies in turn-based battles, advancing through a story-driven adventure.
The team will next refine the tactical elements of combat and adjust battle balance. They are placing particular emphasis on positioning, turn order, and skill selection, hoping that players' strategic planning will be rewarded in every encounter. The party progression system will also continue to be improved to encourage players to experiment with different skills and adapt their tactics to the challenges they face.
Shadow Path is scheduled to launch on PC via Steam, GOG.com, and the Epic Games Store. The development team stated that new trailers and world-building information will be gradually revealed during the delay period.
