New news has emerged about the "Jak and Daxter" film adaptation project. DanielRPK reports that Sony is still developing the film, with "A Minecraft Movie" screenwriters Neil Widener and Gavin James joining the project, and Ruben Fleischer remaining as director. Sony has not yet officially announced this creative team.
The movie's information page also lists two screenwriters. Regarding the project's previous progress, Fleischer revealed in 2022 that he was working on a film adaptation of a Naughty Dog.exe title.
In 2023, there were also rumors that the film would be live-action, with Tom Holland and Chris Pratt considered for the lead roles. These claims have not been officially confirmed either. Currently, the cast, story details, and release window for the film have not been announced.
Additionally, footage of a "Jak and Daxter" game remake proposal appeared earlier this year. The developers have not yet officially confirmed a new game, remake, or remaster.
