According to 4Gamer, developer Nas revealed the Steam store page for Needle In A Haystack Simulator on August 28. The game is scheduled to launch on PC in Q4 2026.
The goal is to find a single needle among five million strands of hay. At the start, players have no efficient means and must search by sifting through the hay strand by strand.
During the search, players may also discover other valuable items. Selling these items provides funds to purchase better tools for searching, carrying, and processing. As progress continues, players can handle more hay at once, and the game also offers automation features.
The store page indicates that upgrades and automation are optional. Players can rely entirely on manual operations to keep searching for the target among the five million strands of hay.
The game supports online co-op, allowing multiple players to sift through hay together using various tools. However, no matter how many players or tools are involved, there is always only one needle to find.
