Gran Turismo 7 plans to release the free Spec IV update in two phases in October and December 2026, adding a total of two tracks, 12 cars, and several modes and features. Producer Kazunori Yamauchi stated that the game's continued sales performance and growing player base motivated the team to keep providing content and create this major update.
The first phase is scheduled for release on October 15, highlighting the Sportsland SUGO track and six new cars. This Japanese track has not appeared in the series before, and its addition to Gran Turismo 7 will support dynamic weather and rain effects.
The second phase is planned for December, bringing back the series' classic track, Autumn Ring. Kazunori Yamauchi stated that the new version will retain the track's original design characteristics while significantly expanding its scale.
The two-phase update also plans to gradually add menu features, Family Mode, Shuffle Race, and Online Drift Trial, while improving Gran Turismo Sophy.
