Scopely's Barcelona office now has over 700 employees. The team is involved in the development, production, or ongoing operations of mobile games such as Monopoly GO!, Fall Guys, and Star Trek Fleet Command, and also houses the development team for the Playgami technology platform. This office is located in the city's 22@ innovation district.
During SAGA Barcelona Game Fest 2026, Scopely hosted a breakfast event. Founded in Los Angeles in 2011, the company established its Barcelona outpost in 2017 with a five-person team. Including its Seville location, Scopely now employs over 1,000 people in Spain. Barcelona's talent pool and quality of life were key factors in the company's decision to build its European hub there.
In addition to game and platform teams, the Barcelona office is home to FLAMED, a creative team responsible for advertising and marketing content. Scopely also supports local developer events and internship programs.
Players will also see the Scopely Explore logo when launching Pokémon GO. The Niantic game team was renamed Scopely Explore in July 2026, and related titles continue to be operated by the original development team.
