RUNE claims to have released a crack for the Microsoft Store version of Final Fantasy XV: Windows Edition, covering version number 1.1.605.2. Previous cracks were mainly based on the Steam version, while this one targets the Microsoft Store version.
RUNE cracked version 1.1.605.2. This version uses UWP + Custom protection.
The Microsoft Store version uses UWP and custom protection mechanisms without Denuvo; the Steam version retains Denuvo even years after the game's release. The two PC store versions of the same game employ different protection methods.
In terms of performance, the Microsoft Store version doesn't suffer from annoying stuttering, but no independent performance tests have been provided.
It's worth noting that despite long-standing player complaints, Square Enix has still not removed Denuvo protection from the Steam version after eight years.
