Wizards of the Coast unveiled the Magic: The Gathering x Marvel "History of Heroes" Secret Lair at New York Comic Con. This countdown drop features 30 reprinted cards with Marvel hero artwork and is scheduled to go on sale on November 2 at 9 AM PT.
The revealed cards include the Namor-themed Fierce Guardianship. Heroic Intervention and Opposition Agent have also been confirmed for inclusion. Fierce Guardianship sells for over $60 on the secondary market, making its reprint one of the highlighted details of this announcement.
Previously, Magic: The Gathering released a Spider-Man themed set and a broader Marvel Super Heroes themed series, and has also featured cards for characters like Deadpool, Storm, and Captain America through Secret Lair drops.
A Marvel Zombies-themed Secret Lair has also been announced; another Marvel expansion series, "Fate of the Darkhold," is scheduled for release on April 9, 2027. These are separate collaboration projects, with the newly announced one being the "History of Heroes" Secret Lair.
