The development team behind "Frostpunk" has released an update that fixes various crashes and bugs that could hinder quest progress, while improving the experience of finding friends' worlds in co-op mode. This update primarily focuses on stability, quest flow, and online play.
Crash fixes address scenarios such as skipping the opening cinematic, connecting with players holding ranged weapons, and using consumables. The update also resolves issues with bonfire reloading on the world map, stuttering caused by staircase components, and updates DLSS and FSR.
Regarding quests, the update fixes quest items that disappear after being picked up. The TR-22, RUD, and IAN pistols now count towards the "Craft Any Weapon" quest, resolving progress blockers caused by these weapons previously not counting.
The server list for co-op mode now more frequently displays friends' worlds and offers more connection options, making it easier for players to find companions. This update also covers building, fast travel, picking up items from the ground, controller prompts, translations, and profanity filtering.
