Developer FelipePrado0 has showcased an unofficial PC port of God of War III Remastered, stating that the game is now playable from start to finish. The project currently supports both controller and keyboard/mouse inputs, though some issues remain to be fixed.
Test results published by FelipePrado0 show that the game runs at an average of around 144 FPS at 1080p on his device. The project was also tested on systems with a Ryzen 5 5600X paired with an RX 6700 XT, and a Ryzen 5 3600 paired with an RTX 2060. These figures represent performance on specific hardware and are not indicative of the frame rates all PCs will achieve.
This project allows the game's original executable to run directly on PC processors, while providing the environment needed to replace console system libraries. The graphics component uses a heavily modified shadPS4 rendering layer that translates GPU instructions into Vulkan.
Currently showcased features also include save functionality, audio, cutscenes, and a patch that unlocks frame rates up to 240 FPS. The project offers options such as background shader cache loading, in-launcher patches, and key remapping. Developers are still addressing issues with corrupted textures at resolutions other than 1080p.
