"Abyss Crawler," an iPhone game by Japanese indie developer Caprio Lab, is now available on the App Store as a free-to-download title with in-app purchases. It is an idle loot-grinding RPG where battles proceed automatically, and players primarily focus on selecting equipment, skill tree nodes, and companion pets, then repeatedly challenging stages to gather resources.
According to the developers, a single combat round takes about 30 seconds to 2 minutes. Character level-ups do not directly increase base stats; becoming stronger relies more on equipment and skill configurations. The game offers 11 classes, sharing a skill tree with 449 nodes, of which 110 belong to class-specific branches. The skill tree can be reset at any time, and configurations can be saved in three slots.
The equipment system allows automatic dismantling of unwanted drops based on player-defined rules, converting them into materials for enhancement and rerolling. The developers listed 67 types of affixes and 16 unique equipment pieces; the interface also displays final damage output and effective health points, explaining how these values are calculated.
The game's story is divided into three parts, totaling 30 chapters, with an "Infinite Dungeon" for continued progression after completion. Players can capture monsters, with pet collection featuring up to 90 different pets. The game supports offline play and 15 languages; specific paid content is subject to the store page.
