Take your handcrafted home on a journey through the autumn forest. In the single-player adventure game REKA, players step into the shoes of Reka, a witch's apprentice, to build and decorate a walking chicken-legged hut. From the structure to the interior furnishings, players can gradually craft their own witch's home to accompany them on their travels.
While building the hut, players can freely move the camera to view and adjust the structure from different angles. Want to change the layout or rearrange components? The undo and redo functions allow for repeated adjustments to bring the house closer to your vision. Building and decorating have separate modes, so you can continue arranging the interior after constructing the shell.
After completing the tutorial, players will receive basic furniture such as tables, chairs, sleeping bags, candles, and wall shelves. Arrange tables and chairs together, add candlelight to your resting corner, and organize wall decorations. Start with these items to create a cozy little home that suits your taste.
There's plenty of room for creativity when decorating. Most building components can be placed on various surfaces, including walls and ceilings, and can be flipped or rotated. From small items on tables to wall decorations, players can experiment with different combinations to give their hut a unique style.
Reka's explorations will take her through forests, swamps, and villages, with her personally decorated hut accompanying her every step of the way. Players can gather materials during exploration, bring their home to new areas, and use charms to summon the chicken-legged hut to their side. The tables, chairs, and furnishings at home become familiar sights along the journey.
To start your life as a witch, head to the Steam store page and click "Download Reka Demo" to play for free. In the demo, players can experience the first chapter of the story, explore the forest, practice witchcraft, and begin building their own chicken-legged hut. The demo already supports Simplified Chinese, while the current Early Access version of the full game does not yet.
REKA is developed by Emberstorm Entertainment and published jointly by Fireshine Games and Songzhu Games. The official 1.0 release will launch on Steam on October 26, 2026, featuring Simplified Chinese support and presenting Reka's complete story.
