Apostolides previously appeared in Resident Evil 2 and another remake in the series, as well as in the franchise's animated projects. He said he tried to help new cast members understand this world, which features zombies and survival crises while also emphasizing character-driven stories. He specifically highlighted a scene in the junkyard area: despite being in poor physical condition, Leon insists on pressing forward. In his view, this reflects Leon's desire to help others.

Sant'Albano discussed the trauma left on Grace by her mother's death, as well as the guilt stemming from Emily's demise. She believes that while Grace struggles to stand up for herself, she must find the courage to protect others.

The two actors also addressed the enthusiastic player response to a more mature Leon and fielded questions about the character's ring, though they did not provide definitive answers regarding its lore. They believe that the relationships and experiences of characters within horror scenarios are one of the reasons the series attracts players.
