An application called Overdrive has appeared on the jailbroken PS5. Recently circulated videos show that it provides a browsing and download interface similar to a game store, where games and DLC appear to be downloadable for free. However, the video footage is insufficient to confirm whether all listed titles can be fully downloaded and run properly.
Video Showcase:
The interface lists game sizes and ratings but does not display prices. The video shows titles such as Battlefield 6, 007 First Light, Forza Horizon 5, and Black MYTH - Steam Edition: Wukong. There is currently no further information on the technical principles of Overdrive.
There have also been recent discussions about new PS5 jailbreak methods, as well as claims regarding running PS2 discs on the console. A Xbox cloud gaming client called PSXBOX is reportedly available on the jailbroken PS5, supporting 1080p/60fps streaming, DualSense controller compatibility, and menu features for statistics, visual options, and resolution settings.
