Sundew Studios showcased Tearoom of Terror at the Cozy After Dark Showcase. The game blends Victorian-style tea house management with murder investigation, and its Steam demo is now available. Players must run their tea house while clearing their name in their aunt's murder case.
While running the tea house, players need to brew tea, serve scones and other treats, and attend to eccentric customers. Studio writer and designer Allie Ast describes the game as a gothic murder mystery. She states that players must uncover the true culprit behind their aunt's murder, or risk ending up behind bars.
Tea house management and deduction segments alternate, and players may even employ darkly humorous tactics when dealing with certain customers. Tearoom of Terror has not yet announced an official release date.
