According to the latest leak from Kepler_L2, AMD's next-generation RDNA 5 graphics cards will not be announced before Computex 2027 in Taipei. An official announcement is more likely in the second half of 2027, ruling out a CES or first-half release.
This information comes from a discussion on the AnandTech forums, where a member asked if AMD would announce RDNA 5 GPUs within the next three to five months, hoping for a product to compete with the NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000. Kepler_L2 simply replied with "No."
When another member asked if a June 2027 release was possible, Kepler_L2 provided a more specific timeframe, implying it would be later than June.
Last December, he predicted that RDNA 5 would arrive around mid-2027, but his latest comments suggest the official announcement could come even later. However, Kepler did not explicitly state whether the timeline has changed.
Reports in September suggested that AMD might release only one RDNA 5 GPU in 2027. According to Kepler_L2, this model features the AT2 chip, while other variants, including the rumored AT0, AT3, and AT4, won't arrive until 2028.
The leaker also claimed that NVIDIA's next-generation GeForce RTX 60 series will not be released before 2028.
AMD has not officially confirmed the RDNA 5 lineup or any release dates. While the company has discussed future graphics technologies, including Project Amethyst in collaboration with Sony, it has not publicly disclosed a timeline for the next generation of Radeon desktop GPUs.
It's also worth noting that Kepler's latest comments refer to the announcement date rather than the retail launch. He didn't specify which RDNA 5 models AMD might reveal first. If the rumored AT2 is still slated for a 2027 release, an announcement in the second half of the year would imply a short gap between announcement and launch.
