A blogger stated that Quebec business registry records they reviewed show Sweet Baby Inc.'s current registered employee count falls within the range of 1 to 5, down from approximately 16 in 2024. The company's recent website overhaul has also sparked speculation about a shutdown, but the company has not yet issued an official statement regarding its operational status.
On October 12, the blogger pointed out that Sweet Baby Inc.'s previously detailed webpage, which showcased projects, services, and team information, has disappeared. The revamped website now primarily retains the company logo and contact links. These changes to the website and registry information have since become the basis for online discussions about the size of its team.
Sweet Baby Inc. is a consulting firm based in Montreal that has contributed to narrative design or consulting for games such as Alan Wake 2, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, Marvel's Wolverine, and God of War Ragnarök. Previously, YouTube channels have also discussed a decline in its team size, but these claims do not directly prove that the company is closing down.
Rumors have also circulated online about losing major clients, terminated partnerships, and a potential shutdown. Currently, there is no official statement from the company regarding staff numbers, contracts, or future plans; the employee range in registry records cannot be directly equated to the real-time total number of employees. The company may still continue operations on a smaller scale.
