ATLUS and developer Studio Zero have announced that the "Prologue" demo of Metaphor: ReFantazio for Switch 2 is now available. The demo covers the beginning of the game, and saved progress can be carried over to the full Switch 2 version, scheduled for release on November 12.
Metaphor: ReFantazio was initially released on October 11, 2024, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, and PC. The PC version is available via Steam and the Microsoft Store.
According to ATLUS's introduction to the Switch 2 version, the game revolves around a royal competition for the throne. Players can explore towns and dungeons, use the power of "Archetypes" to adjust their party, and schedule daytime tasks and exploration as well as nighttime relationship building. Combat combines turn-based and real-time action elements.
