"World of Warcraft: Infinity" to Retain Classic Combat Pacing and Introduce New Mechanics for Some Classes

Blizzard stated that World of Warcraft: Infinite will retain the combat pace and atmosphere of the Classic version, while adding new mechanics to some classes to address shortcomings in gameplay depth or performance for certain classes and specializations. The development team has no plans to completely overhaul existing classes.

《魔兽世界:无限》将保留经典战斗节奏,并为部分职业加入新机制

The goal of the new mechanics is to add variety to combat, but the team does not intend for players to constantly spam skills at high speed. Preparation, exploring the world, and adventures outside of dungeons remain key experiences valued by the team. Developers stated that they replayed Classic-era dungeons and raids to understand the original combat feel. Specific details on which mechanics will be added have not yet been disclosed.

Regarding class balance, the team plans to regularly adjust class performance based on data during the first six months after the game's launch on November 4th, with an initial plan to release changes weekly.

Dual talents will unlock at level 40 and require a fee to use. The cost for resetting talents will not remain at the low testing phase level indefinitely.
