VIZ Media will release a deluxe reissue of the manga Pokémon Adventures: Red & Blue, with the first volume scheduled for release on November 10 at a price of $30. This 476-page hardcover book features gold embellishments and gilded edges, but includes no new manga content.
The first volume is now available for pre-order through channels such as Barnes & Noble, Amazon, Bookshop, Books-A-Million, and Kinokuniya. For readers who already have the standard edition, the main differences in this reissue are the binding and collectible format; the story content has not been updated.
Pokémon Adventures: Red & Blue is the earliest part of this manga series, first released in 1997, with story by Hidenori Kusaka and art by Mato. The work features Red as the protagonist, telling the story of his desire to build friendships with Pokémon and face enemies alongside his rival Blue during his training.
