Reports suggest that production on the DC film "The Brave and the Bold" may begin in late 2027. DC Studios has not announced an exact start date, and this timeline has yet to be officially confirmed.
Citing social media sources, ComicBookMovie reported that the studio hopes to begin production on the new Batman film in late 2027. Film journalist Jeff Snyder also stated that he heard the project may be further along than outsiders imagine, though he did not provide a definitive production timeline.
"The Brave and the Bold" was announced in 2023 as part of the new DC Universe film slate, planning to introduce a version of Batman distinct from Robert Pattinson's portrayal. The initially announced story direction focused on the relationship between Bruce Wayne and his son, Damian Wayne.
The choice of director for the film remains unclear. Snyder stated that he is unsure whether Andy Muschietti will continue to direct or if James Gunn will take over. Details regarding the character's age, family background, and story may still be adjusted, and the cast and final plot have not been disclosed.
