The suspense visual novel "Day Lilies" is scheduled for release on PC via Steam on October 27, 2026. Set in South Korea in the year 2000, the story begins with a man being murdered in a bustling district, and players will investigate the case through three different perspectives.
The game is developed by indie developer Amagure and is influenced by 90s visual novels such as "Kamatari no Yoru." It features realistic backgrounds with character silhouettes. The story unfolds from the perspectives of a woman suspicious of her husband's late returns and the smell of smoke, the man in question, and a detective investigating the murder.
Player choices will lead the story down different branches, with incorrect options potentially ending the gameplay prematurely. The game features one true ending and ten bad endings, emphasizing multi-playthrough experiences. The developer states that after reaching the truth, previously read stories will reveal another side.
A demo covering the prologue to Chapter 2 is currently available on Steam, and the game is also planned to participate in the Steam Next Fest. The estimated playtime is about two to three hours, with the first playthrough taking approximately one hour, and the remaining time dedicated to collecting bad endings and replaying. The launch languages will be Japanese and Korean, with Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and English still under consideration.
