Today, Microsoft announced that Tomb Raider: The Legacy of Atlantis will make its official debut at Xbox Gamescom. The game will be showcased alongside titles such as Minecraft Dungeons 2 and Forza Horizon 6. The event will feature gameplay demos, developer interviews, special guest appearances, and the release of a new trailer. The livestream will be broadcast simultaneously on Twitch and YouTube on August 26, 2026.
Tomb Raider: The Legacy of Atlantis is co-developed by Flying Wild Hog and Crystal Dynamics. This title is a reimagining based on the original Tomb Raider developed by Core Design and Tomb Raider: Anniversary produced by Crystal Dynamics. The story revolves around Lara Croft's search for fragments of the ancient artifact known as the "Scion," which serves as the central narrative thread.
Tomb Raider: The Legacy of Atlantis is scheduled for release on February 12, 2027, launching on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. The game will be available in three editions: Standard, Deluxe, and Collector's Edition, each offering different bonus content. The Deluxe and Collector's Editions will also include 48 hours of early access.
