On October 13, CDPR pushed the 5.01b hotfix for the PS5 and PS5 Pro versions of "The Witcher 3: Remastered." The official statement mentioned that this update includes several stability improvements aimed at enhancing game reliability, but did not provide a detailed list of fixes.
The download item for the PS5 version is listed as 5.000.500. The previous 5.01 update was released for consoles and PC, while this 5.01b hotfix is exclusively for PS5 and PS5 Pro.
Following the update, PS5 and PS5 Pro players continue to report game crashes, so it cannot be confirmed that this issue has been completely resolved. Other feedback includes frame drops and stuttering during combat or exploration, HDR and brightness discrepancies, shadow and texture anomalies, and slow loading of some merchant inventories. The developers have not clarified whether these specific issues were addressed in this fix.
Some players believe the base PS5 version has improved lighting performance, but this observation has not been fully verified. A Push Square author stated that after playing for over thirty hours on the PS5 Pro with the new pipeline enabled, they encountered no significant issues other than stuttering during auto-saves. The Switch 2 version's patch 5.01 is still in development, with no confirmed release date yet.
