EA has announced the Game of the Year Edition of Battlefield 6 alongside Season 5. This edition includes the base game, the Ultimate Shortcut Bundle, Battle Pass tokens, a 25-level boost, and immediate unlocks.
The Ultimate Shortcut Bundle instantly grants mastery progress for all four soldier classes and their corresponding weapon progression, allowing buyers to access equipment that would otherwise require gradual unlocking. The Game of the Year Edition also includes the "Trusted Reserve" Pax Armata Support skin, four additional soldier skins, two weapon camos, as well as career and gear XP boosts.
Players who already own the base game should check for overlapping content before purchasing. For new players, the main differences between the Game of the Year Edition and the Standard Edition are the Shortcut Bundles and Battle Pass benefits. The price for the Game of the Year Edition has not yet been announced.
According to EA, Battlefield 6 features over 20 maps, 70+ weapons, 30+ vehicles, and numerous Portal experiences, none of which are new additions in the Game of the Year Edition. EA also confirmed that the game will continue to receive support through 2027, though details on future seasons have not yet been disclosed.
