Battlefield 6 Season 5 is now live. In addition to two new maps, four new weapons have been introduced, including the ELR-40 bolt-action sniper rifle, which is particularly deadly in long-range combat. It boasts an exceptionally long optimal range, while its single-fire mode can reduce the optimal range interval, making it an ideal weapon for versatile Recon players.
YouTube channel JackFrags released a gameplay video featuring this weapon, praising the new sniper rifle as surprisingly effective.
Battlefield 6 Season 5 launched yesterday. The new season brings two maps—Las Vegas and Area 51—which are said to feature excellent vertical design. The maps also include familiar elements from previous Battlefield games, with the return of iconic tall buildings and strong visual effects, earning praise from players.
Unfortunately, Season 5 hasn't made much of a splash. The 24-hour peak player count on Steam was under 60,000, indicating that Battlefield 6's current player base remains relatively stable each season, without attracting many new players or bringing back former veterans.
