If you want to replay Grand Theft Auto V via PS Plus Extra before the launch of GTA VI, you'll need to act quickly.
Grand Theft Auto V has been confirmed to leave PS Plus Extra on November 17, 2026, just two days before the release of GTA VI.
PS5 players have already started receiving system notifications about the removal date. The notification suggests members play Grand Theft Auto V before the launch of GTA VI, with options on screen to either pre-order GTA VI or play Grand Theft Auto V. Of course, you can also simply exit this page.
In short, we now know that Grand Theft Auto V will be removed from PS Plus Extra on November 17.
However, I believe it is almost certain to return at some point. Rockstar's two most recent games, Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2, have both briefly joined PS Plus Extra before being removed from the service.
For example, Grand Theft Auto V has been added to PS Plus Extra three times since December 2023; Red Dead Redemption 2 is currently in its third stint on the service as well.
