Stephen Chow released a video correcting the UK release date of his film Kung Fu Girls to October 23, and extended an invitation to David Beckham to watch the movie. Previously, Sisley Choi, who stars in the film, mistakenly stated the release date while interacting with Beckham at an event in Macau and inviting him to check out the movie.
Stephen Chow spoke entirely in English in the video, calling Beckham his football hero and making a heart gesture with his hands. He mentioned that Kung Fu Girls will be released in the UK on October 23, and invited Beckham and fans to meet at the cinema.
In Kung Fu Girls, Sisley Choi plays "Ma Ba," a blind character who serves as the team's medic.
As of now, Stephen Chow has publicly issued the invitation, but there has been no follow-up response indicating whether Beckham has accepted it.
