The developers of Metro 2039 confirmed that the PC system requirements previously displayed on the Epic Games Store page were uploaded in error and are currently being corrected. The actual system requirements will be announced closer to the release date, so players should not rely on this configuration list to judge the final hardware thresholds.
The store page that sparked discussion listed a GeForce RTX 4090, 64GB of DDR5 RAM, and processors such as the Intel Core i9-14900KS or AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D as recommended specifications. The minimum requirements listed on the page also included hardware around the level of an RTX 3060, 16GB of DDR5 RAM, and an i5-14600K or Ryzen 7 5800X3D processor.
The developers stated via their official social media accounts that the team will continue to develop and optimize the game. 4A Games plans to release Metro 2039 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S on February 4, 2027, with the official PC specifications to be announced closer to launch.
