Mod author KBase has released AuraV Enhanced, a graphics mod for the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced Edition, which adds path-traced lighting to the game and modifies visual effects such as weather, waves, and raindrops on the camera lens.
Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced Edition launched on PC in March 2025, with Rockstar adding ray tracing effects for shadows, reflections, and global illumination. AuraV builds on this by further adjusting the visuals: path tracing calculates light propagation after multiple bounces, allowing light reflected from surfaces like walls to illuminate the surrounding environment; shadows cast by streetlights and bright signs also utilize ray tracing effects.
The mod also adds ray-traced reflections and supports NVIDIA DLSS Ray Reconstruction to improve reflection and lighting details. In terms of environment, AuraV introduces new sky and atmospheric effects, wind-driven waves, and adjusts rain, lightning, thunder, smoke, heat haze, and character skin lighting.
Raindrops on the camera lens are also part of the mod's changes. Players can press F10 in-game to open a menu and adjust parameters, with no need to restart the game to apply changes. The mod is available for download on the author's website, along with a trailer showcasing its effects.
