"Odd Egg Creatures," developed by the indie team Mobi Studio, has launched its demo on Steam. Starting from a simple camp, players plan resources and production to gradually build the island into a settlement with various buildings and jobs. This is a light-hearted, casual automation management simulation game.
During management, players must gather wood, transport stone, and process sugar beets to upgrade buildings, meet basic needs, and unlock new products and technologies. Hundreds of cats and other small animals will work, eat, and gather together after shifts on the island, occasionally slacking off. Players can set their own pace between production efficiency and a relaxed island lifestyle.
In addition to small animals, players can recruit dozens of residents, each with unique personalities, abilities, and stories, assigning them to lead the animals in various tasks. Collecting outfits, styling looks, as well as dream sequences and daily events, will reveal the individual experiences of each resident.
As the settlement grows, players can leave the initial small island to explore ecological zones like deserts and snowy regions, tackling new resource and construction challenges. Beyond management, you can plant flowers, fish, cook, experiment with recipes, and cultivate flower varieties. The demo is now available, but the official release date has not yet been announced.
