Japanese indie studio Nukenin has revealed the Steam page for their new strategy title, Yomino. The game will be available for hands-on demos for the first time at Tokyo Game Dungeon 14 on October 31, with the beta version expected to launch in early November. Players can currently apply to join the beta test via the Steam page.
Yomino features a dark Japanese-style hell theme. Players carry omamori as they challenge demons floor by floor, ultimately facing Enma (the King of Hell). Gameplay revolves around placing blocks on a board to clear rows and columns, while combining omamori boosts scores. Scoring is calculated as "block points × row points," with placement positions and omamori effects altering the multipliers.
The game features over 100 types of omamori (charms), along with block bonuses, single-use talismans, and forbidden techniques that come at a cost. The current version offers five boards and seven difficulty levels, with each session lasting approximately 20 to 40 minutes. More boards are planned for future updates.
The hands-on demo booth is located at 2F-20. The game supports Simplified Chinese, but the official release date and price have not yet been determined.
