Rockstar's labor arbitration involving dismissed employees and the IWGB union will extend into November. The court has added two days of hearings on November 17 and 18 for both sides' lawyers to present closing arguments; no final ruling has been issued in the case yet.
The trial was originally scheduled to conclude this Friday, but witness questioning took longer than expected. Rockstar's lawyers requested more time to cross-examine some of the dismissed employees, and IWGB is still questioning Rockstar's witnesses, so closing arguments have not yet taken place.
This dispute stems from Rockstar dismissing over 30 employees in late 2025. These employees had all appeared in a union Discord channel. IWGB argues the dismissals targeted union activities; Rockstar states the terminations involved unauthorized information sharing. Both claims remain central points of contention in the arbitration proceedings.
New court dates have been added, coinciding with the reported release date of GTA 6. Both parties still need to deliver their closing arguments, and the case outcome awaits further proceedings.
