Spain Plans General Strike on November 11, Potential Disruptions to GTA 6 Local Deliveries

Spain plans to hold a general strike on November 11, raising media concerns that freight and courier services could be impacted, potentially slowing down deliveries for the local release of GTA 6. Also under discussion is The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake, although it is currently scheduled for release before the strike.

This concern stems from previous experiences with transport strikes. Nintenderos recalled that during the release of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots in June 2008, trucks delivering the game failed to reach stores in some parts of the Iberian Peninsula on time, preventing some players from getting the game on launch day and causing retailers to delay sales.

The international release date for GTA 6 is November 19, eight days after the planned strike. Media outlets are concerned that logistics could be disrupted and have raised the possibility of congestion due to concentrated downloads; pre-loading and download arrangements for the game should still be based on information from the publisher or retail channels.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake is currently scheduled for release on November 5, before the planned strike date. Media outlets believe that, given the current schedule, it is less likely to be directly affected; however, if the strike dates change, a reassessment will be necessary. There is currently no evidence of delivery delays for either of these two games.
