With the launch of Battlefield 6 Season 5, players received new maps, weapons, and more. DICE also quietly added some Easter eggs, placing this one on the Area 51 map. As you might have guessed, it involves aliens. Some imaginative players have already cracked the Easter egg. Finding it also grants in-game rewards.
YouTube user DANNYonPC uploaded a roughly four-minute tutorial on the Area 51 UFO Easter egg.
If you prefer reading, here is a step-by-step guide provided by members of the Battlefield Easter egg community:
Buttons are hidden behind crates next to the towers and require a knife to access.
Each tower is numbered (see the map).
First, check the initial status of the lights on each tower.
Press the buttons in the correct order to open the door, revealing a control room.
There is an activation button to the front right; pressing it turns on the screen.
The Morse code translates to "INT RDRSUNDRGRND" (as shown in the image; this text may use abbreviations or may not yet be fully deciphered).
The large screen displays a string of symbols, which remains the same each time.
Use puzzle-solving tools to determine the correct sequence to turn all lights green.
Once all eight lights are green, head to the locked door in the tunnel near Objective F.
If all lights are in the correct state, the keypad should turn green. Interact with it to open the door.
Enter the control room and interact with the radio at the front to activate the screen.
The symbols on the display correspond to the sequence for pressing the buttons eight times.
Surprisingly, this Easter egg was cracked in just one day! Hopefully, DICE has hidden more secrets in Season 5 to keep the game interesting.
Although this Easter egg and its corresponding weapon charm reward are nice, evidence suggests that the cosmetics in the Battlefield 6 Season 5 Battle Pass were AI-generated, with somewhat disappointing quality, which is a bit of a letdown.
