Approximately 25 minutes of new footage from GTA VI leaked last week, bringing renewed attention to the game's data breach. Rockstar artist Aaron Garbut discussed the major 2022 leak, stating that the premature release of unfinished content was emotionally difficult for him to handle.
In an interview with Bloomberg, Garbut recalled that the content leaked in 2022 was still in development, and the team had never intended for it to be seen by the public. He felt as though someone had intruded into a very private creative space, comparing the experience to having someone snoop through his dirty laundry.
Garbut said it was emotionally taxing to see early work circulating online. GTA VI is currently scheduled for release on November 19.
