Nintendo has announced three waves of DLC for Fire Emblem: Threads of Fate, featuring weapons, recruitable characters, costumes, and new storylines. The four weapons in the first wave are based on the "Heroes' Relics" from Fire Emblem: Three Houses, each designated for use by one of the four warriors from the Past Arc.

The second wave is expected to launch in winter 2026, adding Aurora, who governs stars and navigation; Smirnos, who oversees magic; and Jura, the goddess of abundance. All three are recruitable and can provide support in the "Salvation Arc" challenge against the Demon God Baror, though their abilities cannot be enhanced through leveling up. This wave will also introduce costumes for the four warriors from the Past Arc, which other companions can also wear.

The third wave, planned for release in 2027, will expand on the stories of four additional warriors who compete against the protagonist's party in the Great Sword Festival. Developers had previously stated that they initially considered having eight characters share the protagonist role, but later reduced it to four due to factors such as narrative complexity.
