The indie game ROLLA is now available on Steam. Players control a blob of alien flesh escaping human captivity, rolling through various locations, devouring targets along the way to grow larger, and mutating to defend against human attacks.
The launch trailer presents the creature's rampage through the city in the style of breaking news reports. As it grows, humans deploy police, rescue teams, and the military, using bullets, rockets, and fire to combat it. Players can leverage mutations and various upgrades to improve their chances of survival.
ROLLA features levels set in different regions, each with unique missions and collectibles. The game also includes online leaderboards, and its soundtrack, composed by the developer, features synthwave music.
Developed by Tyrmä Games with support from publisher Pantaloon, the creators describe it as a B-movie-inspired horror-style destruction arcade game. The game supports controllers, keyboard and mouse, as well as keyboard-only controls.
