The demo for Hela: Between Rats is now available, along with its launch trailer. Players can embark on a short adventure crafted specifically for the demo, either solo or with a friend via local split-screen co-op.
The demo's world is inspired by northern Sweden. Players will use a magical backpack to solve puzzles, help characters they meet along the way, and find their way home.
According to the trailer, the full release will feature a larger open world, more quests and stories, as well as brewing and potion-making mechanics. Online co-op will also be expanded to support up to four players. These features are part of the full version and differ from the current demo content.
Hela: Between Rats is scheduled to launch on Steam, Xbox PC, and the Epic Games Store on December 1, 2026. It is available to wishlist now.
