Following the conclusion of the 2026 season of the League of Legends Pacific Championship (LCP), officials announced the schedule for the Promotion Qualifier. The event will take place from November 10 to 13 at VPS Arena in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, competing for two spots in the 2027 LCP. This marks the first time the Promotion Qualifier will be held in Ho Chi Minh City, with Ground Zero Gaming and DetonatioN FocusMe each defending their respective spots.
The two slots will be decided through different paths. Ground Zero Gaming will face FRANK Esports in a Best-of-Five series for the Regional Advantage slot, with the winner securing a spot in the 2027 LCP.
The other path begins with a Best-of-Five single-elimination bracket featuring Saigon Warriors, FENNEL, Team Gromp, and Nothin'Here to determine a challenger, who will then face DetonatioN FocusMe for the second qualifying spot.
Officials stated that although next year's seasonal tournaments will open direct promotion channels to the LCP for regional league teams, this promotion qualifier still affects the 2027 regional GRP revenue sharing, providing additional financial support to the qualified teams.
Match tickets went on sale on October 15. Spectators unable to attend in person can watch the matches via broadcasts in Traditional Chinese, English, Vietnamese, Japanese, and Thai.
