Doug Cockell, the English voice actor for Geralt in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, recalled that Henry Cavill sent him photos to confirm that the invitation to The Witcher's London premiere was not a prank. Cockell subsequently attended the premiere.
In an interview with Ginx TV, Cockell said that about a month before the premiere, he received a direct message from someone claiming to be Cavill, inviting him to attend. Since Cockell often receives strange messages, he initially didn't believe it and responded rudely. It was only after Cavill personally sent photos that his doubts were dispelled.
On the night of the premiere, Cockell spent time with Cavill and his family. Cockell recalled that Cavill expressed respect for his work in person and mentioned his long-standing admiration for CD Projekt RED's games. Cockell had voiced Geralt in The Witcher game trilogy; according to his recollection, the voice and tone he crafted for the character in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt also influenced Cavill's portrayal of Geralt in the TV series.
