The CRKD Atom+ mini controller is larger than the original Atom, but one reviewer still finds it portable; its compact size, however, limits comfort during extended grip.
The Atom+ is about the length of a palm. When the reviewer placed it in a carrying case with their Switch 2 and accessories, they found it took up significantly less space than their usual larger controller.
This reviewer often brings their controller to friends' houses, packing a dock, steering wheel, and other accessories in their bag. They wanted to save space for these items and were concerned that the joysticks of a larger controller might get cramped against other objects. In such scenarios, the Atom+ is easier to pack and serves well as a backup controller for outings.
Nevertheless, the Atom+ remains a very small controller. The reviewer noted that grip comfort might become an issue during long gaming sessions; it also lacks the back buttons they prefer, so it can't fully replace their main controller. They used it to play Mario Kart World and brought it along to play other games with friends.
